This course introduces the
fundamental of funding for not-for-profit organization with
an emphasis on event fundraising as well as the requirements
and procedures for reporting funds raised as well as program
and operating expenses. While focused on arts organizations,
it approaches the scope of US not-for-profit organizations
looking more towards a staff or board perspective rather
than the professional perspectives of a fundraiser or
accountant. (3 credits) Spring

Requirements
Read the chapters or online materials and complete the
assignments. Assignments are due when assigned as class
activities depend upon them. All assignments must be completed
to pass the course.
Projects
Projects are open ended assignments where you can display your
knowledge. There are two project for the course:

alternate explanation can be helpful. However, assignments you
submit and projects you present are your own work alone unless
specified otherwise. You are expected to credit intellectual
property sources for all media used in your projects.
